Tirupati is a far-familiar temple town situated in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Tirupati is also known as Tirumala that is most familiar and far-famed for the Sri Venkateshwara Temple, purely consecrated to Lord Vishnu. People making their pilgrimage visit to Tirumala will never fail to make their visit to the far-famed teerthams. There are quite familiar teerthams popularly know for its holiness. Among them Akasaganga Teertham is the most familiar teertham were every pilgrims make their visit without fail.


The deer park is situated in the city of Kandaleru of Andhra Pradesh. The deer park is one of the exciting attractions that must have to be visited when you take a trip to Tirupati. Along with several other beautiful gardens, the deer park is also popularly known for its scenic attraction.



The Asthana Mandapam is an assembly hall in the Tirupati devasthanam. This Asthana Mandapam is also known as the Sadas Hall, which serves as the place where all the devotional programs takes place. Another striking attraction of Tirumala is the Paapvinasanam teertham. This is a holy teertham where pilgrims can take bath. Devotees believe that, a bathe in this holy teertham will cleanse away their evils. As this holy teertham cleanse away the evils and sins, it has been captioned as Papavinasanam Teertham. Pilgrims can avail the dressing rooms as there is a separate room built for both men and women.

Among them, Japali teertham is the most widely know holy teertham which is being visited by most pilgrims. Every important and auspicious festival in the teertham will be held during the time of Kumaradhara Magha Pournami, Tumbhuru Phalguna Pournami, Ramakrishna Pushya Pournami, and Chakra Karthika Masa - Ksheerabdhi Dwadasi. Pilgrims visiting Tirumala will never fail to take a bathe in this Japali Teertham, as it believed that all their sins and evils will be washed out when they dip in the teertham.


Every teertham in Tirumala has its own quality and holiness. Likewise, the Pasupu Teertham is also the one among the significant holy teerthams. The holiness and consecration is the prominent spotlighting factor of this puniya teertham. This is the reason pilgrims make their visit to this teertham when they take a trip to Tirumala.


Making a visit to the holy water will clean away the sin and bestows goodness and well being. The Ramakrishna Teertham is situated merely 6 miles to the north of Tirumala. A person by the name Krishna digged out the pool and after some days an archpriest by the name Ramakrishna meditated in the pool for quite number of years.


Tourists making their visit to Tirumala will take their on the way visit to Sanaka Sanandana Teertham. Among the several different teerthams found in Tirumala, this Sanaka Sanandana Teetham is one of the best-known teertham. Silathoranam is a natural rock formation which appears to be in the form arch. It is conceived that this source is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara idol. Also the rock look likes and appears to be the hood of a serpent, a conch and a discus. This is one of the striking and outstanding geological marvels.


Sitamma Teertham is another one of the several holy teerthams found in Tirumala. People taking their visit to Tirumala will take a dip in these holy teertham to cleanse away their sins and wickedness. Among the several holy teertham, Sitamma Teertham is the long familiar teertham known for its sacredness. Most pilgrims visiting Tirumala will surely visit the Sitamma Teertham and take bathe here.


Sri Annapurna Sameta Kasi Visweswaraswami Temple is located in Bugga Agraharam which is some 56 kilometers away from Tirumala in the district of Chittor of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is located in on the river banks of Kusasthali. The temple shrines the god of Sri Annapurna Ammavaru, Sri Kasi Visweswara Swami, Sri Devi Bhudevi Sameta, Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru and Sri Prayaga Madhava Swami.


Sri Bedi Anjaneyaswami Temple which is situated in Sannidhi Street exists merely opposite to Sri Varahaswami temple lying in the north eastern banks of Swami Pushkarini, Tirumala. This long familiar temple has the idol of deity god Lord Hanuman. This legendary holy shrine was built as per the Vishnavite tradition expressing the idol hands joining the model of postulation. Special abhishekam and poojas are made every Sunday.


The blessed Sri Chennakesavaswami temple is situated in the village of Tallapaka. The temple is situated some 100 kilometers away from Tirumala. This far-famed temple is the birth place of Sri Annamacharya, the Sankeertana Acharyulu who was birthed to Lakkamamba and Sri Narayanasuri. Records say that the temple was built some 1000 years before under the rule of the Matti Raja.


Generally, people love to make a visit to Museum. While you take a trip to Tirumala, you can make a visit to the Sri Vari Museum. This familiar museum is situated some few kilometers from Tirumala.
